THE FUNERAL AND VISITATION TIMES HAVE BEEN CHANGED.

Joan E. Klein, 83, Logansport, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, in Memorial Hospital.

Born May 31, 1930, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Edith Bennett Zieg.

On June 22, 1949, in Logansport, she was married to William J. “Joe” Klein, who preceded in death on July 30, 1992.

Joan was employed in customer service at Logansport Municipal Utilities from 1962 to 1991.

Joan was a 1948 graduate of Logansport High School. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and All Saints Ladies Society. “Gus” the cat, who survives, was her favorite animal.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy (Mike) Buttice, Logansport; sons, Richard (Lisa) Klein, Logansport, Randal Klein, Tokyo, Japan and Gary (Darla) Klein, Acworth, Ga.; eight grandchildren survive, Wendy Zeider, Mike Buttice, Mark (Nicole) Klein, Kory (Miranda) Zeider, Chris (Becca) Klein, Kim Zeider, Cat (Jerry) Nibarger, and Casey (Kala) Klein; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Brink, Logansport, and Gloria Klein, Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kroeger Funeral Home, with a Scripture Service at 6 p.m. today.
