She was a member of Central Christian Church of Lebanon, Eastern Star Floral 75 and Boone County Retired Teacher’s Association.

Survivors include daughter, Mrs. Dottie H. Ostby and husband, Kirk, Lebanon; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Karen Hyman, St. Joseph, Mich., three grandchildren, Eric Ostby, Lebanon, Jennifer Ashland and husband, Scott, Fishers, and Fr. Daniel Hyman, Kalamazoo, Mich.; great-grandson Ryan Ashland, Fishers; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Philip M. Hyman, II, an infant daughter and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, with the Rev. Brad Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Center Cemetery in Cass County.

Visitation is planned from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Lebanon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Witham Foundation, Central Christian Church, or the Resident’s Activity Fund at Homewood Health Campus.
