LAFAYETTE — Bryan “Bart” David McKenzie, 39, Lafayette, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013.

Born Aug. 14, 1973, in Lafayette, Bryan was the son of Edward Lee of Delphi and the late Carol Sue “Susie” (Farlow) McKenzie.

On Dec. 30, 2011, Bryan was married to Nicole “Nikki” Panici at D.T. Kirby’s in Lafayette. She survives.

Bryan graduated from Pioneer High School in 1992. He worked various construction jobs then went on to work for himself as a paintless dent repair specialist for the past six years.

In his free time, Bryan enjoyed four-wheeling, camping, hunting, working in the garage with his friends, and playing with his children. He was excellent at grilling and cooking. Most of all, Bryan was a proud, loving father and husband. He made a lot of people smile.

With his wife, Bryan is survived by his daughter, Ryleigh of Lafayette; his stepson, Austin Shidler of Indianapolis; his four brothers, Brock Dale and Brent Drew (Dawn) of Lafayette, Kody Lee of Kokomo and Kolton James of Delphi; his sister, Sky Marie of Delphi; his father, Edward Lee of Delphi; his in-laws, Frank Panici and Tom and Becky Allen; and his brothers and sister-in-law, John and Jane Williamson and Joey Panici, all of Winamac.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Monday at Fisher Funeral Chapel, 914 Columbia St., Lafayette.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist in funeral expenses and for Ryleigh and Austin’s educations.
