WALTON — Jacqueline “Jackie” M. Pierce, 84, Walton, passed away at 9:35 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Hospital.

She was born Oct. 31, 1929, to Elizabeth (Walbrecht) Freeman in Harlan County, Ky. On July 7, 1947, she married Earl R.L. Pierce, who passed away April 22, 1989.

Jackie was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Houston Astros baseball teams. She was a homemaker and a housewife.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Pierce of Walton, Joe (Pat) Pierce of Kokomo and Dan (Laura) Pierce of Kokomo; brothers, Tommy Walbrecht of Oakridge, Tenn., Cassie T. (Nancy) Smith of Kokomo and Billy W. (Marilyn) Smith of Kokomo; sister, Winifred “Winnie” Miller of Kokomo; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother; husband, Earl; two sons, Earl R.L. Pierce Jr. and David B. Pierce; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Stout and Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Mike Ennis officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
