LAKE BRUCE — Sue Fair, 80, Lake Bruce, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at her residence.
Born Aug. 8, 1933, in Kokomo, she was the daughter of the late William and Rachel (Blossey) Benson. On May 22, 1953, she married Austin Fair. He preceded her in death May 23, 1989.
She was a graduate of Clay Township High School.
Sue worked at Eaton Controls in Winamac retiring after 25 years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church at Lake Bruce and a former member of Union Local 1609. She enjoyed horses, reading and watching her hummingbirds.
Survivors include daughters, Vickie McIntire of Kewanna, and Sandi Roark (Jim) of Bunker Hill; grandchildren, Bill Shidler of Indianpolis, Bobby Neff of Rochester, Jimmy Roark of Peru, Jenni Wicker of Lake Bruce, and Lindsey McIntire of Rochester; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by two nieces.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Hale.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, at Lake Bruce, with Pastors Adam Packer and Todd Wilson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
