---- — MOORE, S.C. — Mary Ann Mason, 90, Moore, S.C., formerly of Logansport, passed away at 7:38 p.m.Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Skylyn Place, Spartanburg, S.C.

Born Jan. 25, 1923, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Ora J. and Winnie M. Collins Mackey.

A 1941 graduate of Logansport High School, Mary Ann was a homemaker. She had worked 18 years as a rehabilitation therapist at the Logansport State Hospital.

Mary Ann was a member of the former Ninth Street Christian Church in Logansport. She was active in Silver Striders and was a longtime member of the Cass County Extension Homemakers Club. She enjoyed crafts, playing bingo and traveling.

Surviving are three daughters, Nita Mason of Moore, S.C., Marsha Hamm and her husband, Charles, of Panama City Beach, Fla. and Carol Klinker and her husband, David, of Moore, S.C.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Jim and Joe Mackey; and one sister, Bettye Lou Bonnell.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport.

Interment, with a private graveside service, will follow in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
