Tim J. Black, 58, Royal Center, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 26, 1954, in Peru, he was the son of the late Robert D. and Norma J. Dangerfield Black. On Oct. 3, 1987, at France Park in Logansport, Tim married Katherine “Kathy” S. Allen, who survives.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with his friends and family.
Surviving along with his wife are two daughters, Becky A. (Budd) Denny, Squaw Lake, Minn.; Summer D. Yost, Logansport; two sons, Shawn M. Black, Logansport, and Jamie L. Black, Hot Springs, Ark.; two grandsons, Brian Denny, Squaw Lake, and Awstin Yost, Valparaiso; two granddaughters, Peyton Black, Logansport, and Kohlee Black, Hot Springs, Ark.; sister, Dixie Lee, Logansport; brother, Terry L. (Sylvia) Black, Houston, Texas; two nieces, Christina Lee, Logansport, and Cristina Black, Houston, Texas; and one nephew, Michael Lee, Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by one niece, Tracy Tate.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Kelly Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
