Rosemary Ruff Weaver

STAR CITY — Rosemary Ruff Weaver, 86, Star City, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac.  

Born Aug. 3, 1926, in Star City, she was the daughter of Harold F. Sr. and Gertrude Regina Shulz Ruff. Rosemary married Albert James Weaver on June 18, 1947, in Pulaski. Albert died April 21, 2008.

Rosemary was a member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac, Christian Mothers and Ladies of Charity. Rosemary was a devout Catholic who loved saying the rosary.

Rosemary was a farm wife. She enjoyed working in her garden, especially raising her flowers. Rosemary enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to cook for them. She enjoyed Bingo and Bunco games and ice cream.

Rosemary has two “sponsor children” in Africa that she enjoyed helping and writing to.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie (Clem) Budd, Winamac; son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Melissa) Weaver, Star City; grandchildren, Michelle Boyce, Eric Denham, Thomas (Colleen) Denham, Zachery Denham, Chad Weaver, Marissa Weaver, Korin (David) Rogers, Sarah Goodrich, Ann (Adam) Baer, Dakota Tiede, Rachael (Josh) Jorgensen, and Ryan (Steph) Budd; great-grandchild, Alex Grostefon, Caedyn Weaver, Sydney Denham, and Aiden Sturgeon; great-great-grandchild, Kya Grostefon; sisters, Joan G. Rater, Winamac, and Nancy M. Ruff, Star City; brothers, Harold “Bud” (Lois) Ruff, and Otto J. (Donna) Ruff, all of Star City; and son-in-law, Tom Denham, Winamac.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert James Weaver; parents; daughters, Connie Sue Denham and Kathy Weaver; son, Albert Lee Weaver; and sister, Margery Ann Penn.

A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Winamac, with the Rev. Martin Sandhage officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Winamac.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Frain Mortuary, where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. It will be immediately followed by a Christian Mothers Service and a Scriptural Wake Service.

Memorial contributions may be given to Pulaski Health Care Center Activities Fund, Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and Helping Hands Fund at Eastern Pulaski Schools.
