Martha Deane Parrett, 93, Logansport, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Miller's Merry Manor, Logansport.

Born Oct. 6, 1920, in Bringhurst, she was the daughter of the late George and Edith (Stone) Ayres. On Feb. 5, 1942, in Logansport, she married Allen K. Parrett, who survives.

Deane worked in the Logansport High School cafeteria for 20 years before retiring in 1981. She was a 1939 graduate of Flora High School and enjoyed wintering in Florida. She was a Chicago Cubs fan and an avid bingo player, making many friends while doing so. She was a devoted wife and mother, and Allen will be lost without her in his life.

Surviving along with her husband is a son, Michael (Patty) Parrett, Kokomo; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Allen Parrett, and one daughter, Marsha Ann Copeland.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Kincaid officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Wednesday. Burial will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.
