FORT WAYNE — Robert “Bob” V. Levy, 83, Fort Wayne, formerly of Logansport, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Marion, Bob worked at GTE for 32 years. He then went on to work with the United Way of Allen County for several years in Public Relations and was active in Bi-County Services before retiring.

Bob’s loving, funny and helping personality never stopped. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, stamp collecting, genealogy and watching his favorite sports teams.

Bob was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Masonic Lodge, and the Shriners. He was a proud dad, grandpa and great-grandpa and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Ro Levy of Fort Wayne; daughter, Nita (Dan) Auer of Fort Wayne; sons, Kirk (Susie) Levy of Colleyville, Texas, Allen Levy of Woodbridge, Va.; grandchildren, Ryan (Abby) Auer, Mike (Amanda) Auer, Kristen Levy, Jenni Levy, great-grandchildren, Grayson and Molly; sister, Jocelyn Levy of Logansport; and brother, Ralph (Sue) Levy of Brookston.

Bob was preceded in death by parents, Earl and Dorothy Levy; son, Thomas Levy; brothers, Wayne Levy and Jim Levy.

Service is 11 a.m. Monday at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with the Rev. Timothy Graham officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.

Calling hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Monday.
