Lowell Richard 'Dick' Lowe

---- — CAMDEN — Lowell Richard “Dick” Lowe, 64, Camden, passed away at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Health, Kokomo.

He was born Dec. 3, 1948, in Logansport, to the late William and Mary Agnes (Burke) Lowe.

On Sept. 6, 1948, in Tennessee, Richard married Marla J. Romig.

Richard was a retired maintenance worker for the Port St. Lucie Nursing Restorative Care Center. He was a member of Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.

Surviving along with his wife, Marla J. Lowe, is one son, Richard (Jennifer) Lowe of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two daughters, Carla (Donald) Rathgeber of South Carolina and Darla Barrett of Lake Wales, Fla.; three brothers, Butch (Bily Jo) Hitchens of Wardell, Mo., Wayne (Mary) Strayer of Howell, and Kirkley Gene Lowe of Maine; five sisters, Freda (Dick) Dodt of Burnettsville, Carmin Conklin of Logansport, Marlene (Bob) Compton of Bristol, Tenn., Betty Cunningham of California and Mary (Joe) Traeye of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

One sister and three brothers preceded him in death.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.
