Joseph W. Roller
Joseph W. Roller, 71, Logansport, passed away at 6:26 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Upon his death he was an eye cornea donor.
Born April 28, 1942, in Logansport, he was the son of Dale and Betty Shafer Roller.
On Nov. 2, 1963, he was married in St. Vincent’s Church to Mary Ellen Jones, who survives.
Joe was retired from Modine Manufacturing after 32 ½ years of employment.
A 1960 graduate of Logansport High School, Joe enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, bowling and hunting. He was a member of the Logansport Eagles.
In earlier years, Joe coached Pixie League and Youth League softball.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters, Michele (Brian) Starkey and Kathy Coryea, grandchildren, Alex Starkey, Eli Starkey, Abigail Coryea and Olivia Coryea, all of Logansport. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
A brother, Donald Roller, preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Fr. Mike McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United Way Backpack Program to benefit Logansport schools.
