Donald C. Jamison, 80, went to be with the Lord at 5:26 a.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014, in his home, surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Cass County, he was born April 19, 1933, in Logansport, to Earl & Esther (Emery) Jamison. He graduated from Logansport High School with the class of 1951.

He enjoyed playing golf and basketball and especially enjoyed the winters spent at their winter home at Rainbow Resort, Frostproof, Fla. The basketball court at Rainbow was named “Don Jamison Basketball Court.” He was known and loved by his family and friends for his quick wit and fun personality.

He has served as Chairman of the Board of the church, Chairman of the Elders, Chairman of the Deacons, President of the Christian Men’s Fellowship at the church, teacher of the high school class, former leader of the youth groups, song leader and president and song leader of the Cass County Churchmen United.
