WOLVERINE LAKE, Mich. — Creda R. Day, 88, formerly of Logansport, passed to Heaven Wednesday, March 12, 2014, after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family in Wolverine Lake, Mich.
She was born in Logansport April 5, 1925, and was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Day, whom she married Dec. 6, 1945, in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death May 3, 1993.
Creda was a 40-year retiree from Essex/RBM. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Snows Study Club.
She was the cherished mother of Lynn (Scott) Lewis and the late Gene; the delighted and proud grandmother of Kaitlyn, Rachel and Alex Lewis; the dearest sister of Tom (the late Emmico) Tocco, Marlene (the late Harold) Reinholt, Joan (Bill) Hipsher, Jerry (Donna) Tocco, Sandra (Jim) Hipsher, Judy Brown, Pat Tocco, Donna (Loren) Bartrand, the late Francis Jr (Pat) and the late Mary (the late Glenn) Musgraves. She was also preceded by stepson, Charles Day.
Surviving also are many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and her faithful companion, Alley Cat.
She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Dominic Petan officiating. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Kroeger Funeral Home.
