Leonard A. Rennewanz, 77, Logansport, passed away at 3 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, in St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital, Lafayette.
Born Dec. 9, 1936, in San Pierre, he was the son of George and Thelma Pear Rennewanz.
On Sept. 8, 1954, in Monticello, he was married to Delores Qualio, who survives.
Leonard had been employed at the Chrysler Transmission Plant in Kokomo. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post 60 and B.P.O.Elks No. 66.
He loved golfing every day and dancing with his wife. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed all sports.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Debra Rennewanz of Logansport; sons, Edward Rennewanz and Robert Rennewanz (fiancé, Lora Collins), all of Logansport; sister, June LaOrange (friend, Linda Gibson) of Logansport; grandchildren, Jason Carter, Stefanie Carter, Steve (wife, Anna) Carter, Brandi Rennewanz (fiancé, Barry Sisson), Broc (wife, Wendy) Rennewanz, Alexis Rennewanz and Deion Rennewanz; great-grandchildren, Bradley Graves, Nathan Gibbs, Halle Rennewanz, Reese Rennewanz, Kayden Rennewanz, Landry Carter, Jessilynn Carter, Adrian Carter and Paris Carter; and one great-great-grandson, Carson.
Preceding him in death were sister, Joetta Coratti; brother, Carl David Rennewanz; mother, Thelma Fishback; stepfather, Louis Fishback; and father, George Rennewanz.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kroeger Funeral Home with the Rev. James Coratti officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
