KOKOMO – Cynthia S. Prough, 62, Kokomo, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at her home.
She was born March 29, 1951, in Kokomo, to Scott W. and Mary Ellen (Wright) Johnson. On Nov. 6, 1969, she married Alven R. Prough, Jr., and he survives.
She was a homemaker and a wonderful cook.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mandy (Prough) Schave and her husband, Scott, Kokomo; two grandchildren, Zoi and Sutten Schave; three sisters, Judy Black, Kokomo, Katherine Simpson, Galveston, and Nancy Ehrman and her husband Max, Kokomo; two brothers, Bob Johnson and his wife Marilyn, Kokomo, and Steve Johnson and his wife Vicki, Lincoln City, Oregon; two sisters-in-law, Eulie Yerkes and her husband Don, and Kim Brown and her husband Pat; one brother-in-law, Sam Prough and his wife Dorma; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dann Johnson and Mike Johnson; and father and mother-in-law, Alven and Helen Prough, Sr.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Brust officiating. Entombment will take place in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
