Jacob Levi Klimes, 31, Kokomo, passed away at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Feb. 9, 1982, in Logansport, he is the son of Daniel Klimes and Teresa (Ellis). He was a 2001 graduate of Logansport High School. On April 28, 2010, in Peru, he married Amanda Joanne (Alexander), and she survives.
He was currently employed with the Logansport State Hospital for the past 10 years. He loved spending time with his children. He was an avid deer hunter and mushroom hunter. He was loved by many.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Joanne Klimes of Kokomo; two sons, Jackson and Cayden; two daughters, Auren and Evelyn; his father Daniel (Deb) Klimes, Logansport; his mother, Teresa Klimes, Logansport; two sisters, Jessica Klimes and Tero McCarty, both of Logansport; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Leora Ellis; his paternal grandfather Richard Klimes; his father-in-law, Jack Jr. (Tamara) Alexander, Kokomo.
He was preceded in death by one brother Jason Klime; also by his paternal grandmother Carol Klimes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St., Kokomo. Pastor Robert Morphew will officiate. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to Klimes Family Fund, c/o PNC Bank, 301 N. Broadway, Logansport, IN 46947.
