ATLANTA — Larry D. Kistler, 71, Atlanta, formerly of Royal Center, passed away at 4:43 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Dekalb Medical Center, Atlanta.
Born on Oct. 14, 1942, in Kewanna, he was the son of the late H. Doyne and Dorothy (Appleman) Kistler.
He was a 1961 Royal Center High School graduate and he attended Indiana Business College.
Larry was retired from Emory University, Atlanta. He was an avid LP record collector and he enjoyed watching basketball games and going bowling.
Survivors include his brother, Ronald Kistler of Kokomo; cousin, Marilyn Ringen of Knox; and special friend, Ruth Sanders of Atlanta. He is also survived by one niece and one nephew.
He was also preceded in death by brother, Dr. Gary Kistler.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel, with Nettie Evans officiating. Burial will be in Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
