Jamie Lynn Myer

Jamie Lynn Myer, 66, Logansport, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, in her home surrounded by her family, following a brief battle with cancer.

Born March 19, 1947, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Frank Callipo and the late Phyllis Brandt Callipo Whitcomb. On May 29, 1971, she was married to Karl E. Myer, who survives.

Lynn attended St. Joseph’s Elementary School. She was a 1965 graduate of Logansport High School.

From 1984 until her retirement in 2008, Lynn was employed with Arone Hardware.

Lynn was a lifetime member of All Saints Catholic Church. She had been a member of the Senior Citizens Advisory Board. She belonged to Altrusa and the Professional Women in Business club. Lynn served on the Logansport Plan Commission and was listed in “Who’s Who in American Women.”

Surviving with her husband are two sons, Clark Myer and his wife Jane of Logansport, and Drew Myer of Milwaukee, Wis.; and one daughter, Kathleen DeFord and her husband Brian, of North Carolina. Her children were her greatest success in life and their children — Lynn’s grandchildren, Alexandra Myer, Catherine Myer and Maximillian DeFord — were her absolute joy! Also surviving are two sisters, Teddie Stuber-Kennedy and her husband Vince of Lafayette, and Frankie Rogers and her husband John of Logansport.

A celebration of Lynn’s life will be at 7 p.m. Friday in Fisher Funeral Chapel. Interment, at a later date, will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Friends and family may call from 4 p.m. until the time of the service in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Catholic School.

You may share memories in her online guestbook and view her video tribute at www.fisherfuneralchapel.com.
