Lorin Ross Bader, 75, Peru, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 11, 1937 in Terry, Mont., he was the son of Ross Byron and Adeline Renz Bader.
He was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion, Peru; Moose Lodge, Peru; Eagles Lodge, Peru; Cresent Lodge-York Rite; Scottish Right, Fort Wayne Valley; and Mizpah Shrine, Fort Wayne.
He was retired civil service working at Grissom Air Force Base as a maintenance supervisor and he retired in 1994. After retiring from Grissom, he became a truck driver working for J.B. Hunt and T&P Express.
He is survived by two children, Lorie R. Offutt and husband Tim of Logansport and Lorin Ross Bader Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Crystal Labeer of Denver, Colo., and Iris Grant of Bozeman, Mont.; five grandchildren, Amber Riley and husband Jake of Peru, Christopher Offutt of Logansport, Adam Offutt of Logansport, Kacey Amanda Scates of Indianapolis and Stormie Sky Tarver of Fort Worth, Texas; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Bader, and one sister, Lorraine Hanley.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with full military rites.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
