Laura Ann ‘Nicki’ Fugate Breese

Attica — Laura Ann “Nicki” (Fugate) Breese, 58, formerly of Attica, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, in Florence, Ariz., after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

Nicki was born on April 23, 1951, to the late Don and Martha Fugate. Nicki lived most of her school years in Attica and moved to Florida where she married Kenneth Breese on Nov. 17, 1969. Nicki moved to Arizona 10 months ago so she could be with her sisters through her illness.

Surviving besides her husband, Kenneth, are a daughter, Heather Wilkerson, Wolcott; two sons, Kenny Breese, Indianapolis and Roberts Salts, Logansport; two sisters, Linda Haas Pintar and Mary Kay Haas Solomon, both of Florence, Ariz.; six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Don Haas.

As per Nicki’s wishes, she was cremated and a memorial graveside service will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica, at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Maus Funeral Home in Attica is in charge of arrangements.
