David W. Scott Sr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date for David W. Scott Sr., 53, Logansport.

He died at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, in his residence.

Born June 18, 1955, in Iowa, he was the son of Arnold R. and Mildred T. Lieithy Scott. On July 31, 2003, in Logansport, he was married to Deborah J. Griffith, who survives.

David was self-employed as a painter. He was the former owner of Import Auto and Check Motors. He had also been employed at the former Monon Trailer Corp.

David was a member of the Logansport Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed auto mechanics and especially loved working on imports.

Surviving with his wife are three sons, Randall O. Scott, Danny R. Scott and David W. Scott Jr., all of Logansport; one daughter, Stephanie L. Strong, Twelve Mile; two stepdaughters, Faith A. Archer, Logansport, and Kimberly S. Burrough, Peru; one stepson, Joseph P. Archer, Logansport; one brother, Charles H. Scott, Reynolds; one sister, Barbara L. Quimby, Argos; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one grandson.
