Tressie L. Blevins
ROYAL CENTER — Services for Tressie L. Blevins, 83, Logansport, will be at 10 a.m., Saturday at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel.
She died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at WoodBridge Health Campus, Logansport.
Born Jan. 28, 1925, in Winston County, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Thomas M. and Hester Mayhall West. On July 31, 1940, she was married to Joseph L. Blevins, who preceded in death July 16, 1998.
She retired in 1982 from RBM in Logansport where she was also a member of the RBM Club. Tressie enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
Surviving are four sons, James T. Blevins and his wife, Linda, Elkhart, Teddy L. Blevins and his wife, Ruth, Logansport, Gary D. Blevins and his wife, Deb, Florence, Ala., and Ricky J. Blevins and his wife, Ellen, Logansport; one daughter, Kathryn Sue Stout and her husband, Wayne, Logansport; one sister, Virginia Dolphin, Michigan; grandchildren, Mitch, Michelle and Matt Maloy, Kim Roller, Wendy Hurford, Bobby Best, Tressie Harrington, Ginger Smith, Rhonda Moore, Joseph Blevins, James Christopher Blevins, Tara Fultz, Courtney Selleck, Amanda Hettinger, Sean Stout and Cassie Stout; 39 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shirley G. Maloy; granddaughter, Tina Dingess; and great-grandson, Michael Ashbrook.
Pastor Zane Hanna will officiate at the services and burial will be at Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
