Deloria J. Birnell

Services for Deloris J. Birnell, 71, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Marocco Funeral Chapel.
She died at 6:38 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 13, 1936, in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Sidney Muir and Peggy Adams Muir. She was married in 1954 in Logansport to Albert F. “Snork” Birnell, who preceded in death in 1971.
Mrs. Birnell was a 1956 graduate of Clinton High School. A homemaker, she was formerly employed as a waitress at Truckers Paradise.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Birnell, Plainfield, Albert Birnell and his wife, Debra, and Steven Birnell and his wife, Jamie, all of Logansport; three daughters, Elnora Birnell and Barbara Fry, both of Logansport, and Julie Clear and her husband, Don, Cleveland, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Gary Muir and Sidney Muir and his wife, Carolyn, all of Cleveland, Tenn., Darrell Muir and his wife, Rosemary, Walton, and Russell Muir and his wife, Nancy, Kewanna; one sister, Katherine Miller, Warsaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
One brother, Robert, preceded in death.
Pastor Jay McKinley will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral chapel.
