Stanley and Susan Wolven

Stanley and Susan Peterson Wolven celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Lockport Church in Burnettsville on June 6.

Stanley and Susan were assisted by Pastor Nord Zootman in renewing their wedding vows. A reception followed at the church's dining room given by their sons and their wives, Frederick and Charlotte Wolven, Portage, and Charles and Irene Wolven, Glenwood, Ill.

They were married June 7, 1959, in the Burnettsville Baptist Church.

Stanley retired as Yard Master from Conrail Railroad, Chicago Division.

Susan taught elementary art at Hobart Schools and in Griffith Schools as an elementary teacher.

They retired in 1994 to rural Carroll County and enjoy gardening.

Stanley has an office at Libanas Masonic Lodge, an office in the Order of the Eastern Star and is a church trustee. Susan is currently the Worthy Matron of Crystal Chapter, OES of Monticello.

They have one stepson in Illinois.

Stanley is formerly of Petersburg.
