  • Logan 9s finish as runners-up in district tourney After dropping their first game of the double-elimination tournament to Kokomo UCT, the Logansport 9-year-old all-stars battled their way through the losers' bracket to face Russiaville for the Cal Ripken district tournament title at Metz Field in Fairview Park. With strong pitching from Jeremiah Miller and Brennan Goforth and some timely hitting from the locals, the Logansport nine defeated previously unbeaten Russiaville 10-6 to force a winner-take-all championship game.
