Kings get past Comets in consolation game

LOGANSPORT — Lewis Cass was able to salvage a third-place finish in the Cass County Tournament with a 43-36 win over Caston Friday night in the Berry Bowl.

The Kings (2-1) outscored the Comets 17-7 in the decisive fourth quarter to pull out the win.

David Watterson scored six of his team-high 12 points in the fourth quarter for the Kings. He was 4 of 5 from the foul line in the frame, and the Kings shot 8 of 11 from the foul line for the game to Caston’s 1 of 3.

Blake Hadley scored nine of his 11 points in the fourth quarter for Cass. Austin Keisling was also in double figures with 10 points, and he was named to the all-tournament team. Ryan Aldridge added eight points.

Quentin Douglass scored 15 points to lead the Comets. He was also named to the all-tourney team. Jake Howdeshell was also in double figures with 11. Offenberger made two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter for six points.
