Logansport plays Carroll in the opening match on Wednesday. Cass will play Delphi in one semifinal match Thursday, and Twin Lakes will take on the winner of the Logansport/Carroll match in the other semifinal. The winners will play for the championship on Friday.
Caston’s Adrianna Dague placed second overall in 20:34 in the invite on Saturday. Jenna Showley was next for the Comets with an 86th-place finish (24:21), followed by Hannah Cousins (116th, 25:56), Marli Leazenby (159th, 29:21) and Krysta Schanlaub (167th, 31:37).
The Comets ended in 19th place as a team with 484 points.
Caston finished in 21st place with 556 points, which was well behind John Glenn, who won the closed division with 118 points on Saturday.
Seth Cousins led the Comets with a 16th-place finish (17:48), followed by Darin Chew (104th, 19:52), Dalton Daily (129th, 20:28), Andrew Mith (150th, 21:10) and Brant Buczkowski (180th, 22:27).
