Pioneer football sets first practice

Pioneer football sets first practice

ROYAL CENTER — Pioneer will hold its first official varsity football practice at 3 p.m. Monday.

Players must have a completed physical on file to participate. Any questions call coach Mike Johnson at 574-643-3145 ext. 309.

Logan boys tennis having callout

Logansport boys tennis coach Mike Montgomery announced the team will have an official callout at 8 a.m. Monday at the tennis courts.

Logan middle school football sets practice

Logansport’s middle school football team consisting of seventh and eighth grade students from Columbia and Lincoln will hold its first practice at 6 p.m. Monday.

Players need to wear shorts, T-shirt and cleats and need to meet at the South end of the football practice field near Berry Stadium. Players must have a completed physical form on file at their school in order to practice. If it’s not on file, they can bring it to the first practice. Questions should be directed to Jon Loposser at 574-601-6346.

Caston HS is selling all-sports tickets

FULTON — Caston all-sports tickets can be purchased by mail or at the athletic director’s office until Aug. 13. Then they can be purchased at the first home events or in the bookstore.

The following tickets are available: Family pass $190, adult all-sports ticket $85, student all-sports ticket $45, senior citizen all-sports ticket (65 and over) $30 and Comet 25 ticket (get a 30-punch ticket, one punch for every dollar it costs to get into an event) $25.

Individual costs of tickets at the gate for varsity football, girls and boys basketball, volleyball, wrestling, track, baseball and softball are $5 each. Junior high prices are $4. All prices are set by the Midwest Conference.

Rockets softball holding tryouts

Tryouts for the Rockets 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U travel softball teams for the 2013-14 season will be held from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Aug. 10-11 at Logansport High School.
