Logansport surprises Lewis Cass 34-32 in wrestling

Twin Lakes 104, Pioneer 78

Gabby Harvey won both the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle to lead the host Panthers. Kelsey Hill won diving and Kaity Cover won the 100 butterfly. The 400 freestyle relay team of Harvey, Groff, Miller and Cover also finished first.

Placing second were Cover in the 200 IM, Kayla Miller in the 100 freestyle, Emma Groff in the 100 backstroke and Joanna Marshall in the 50 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke. The medley relay of Groff, Marshall, Cover and Miller placed second, as did the 200 freestyle relay of Marshall, Traci Stark, Emily Nice and Harvey.

Twin Lakes 101, Pioneer 76

Dylan Bice was a double winner in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke to lead Pioneer.

Placing second were Spenser Ulrich in the 200 freestyle, Mason DeWitt in the 500 freestyle, Tyler Shaw in the 100 freestyle, Carter Ulrich in the 100 breaststroke and Drew Benesh in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly. Benesh, Bice, Carter Ulrich and Tyler Shaw finished second in the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay. Austin Harmon, Jacob Van Horn, Spenser Ulrich and Mason DeWitt earned a second in the 200 freestyle relay.

  • Logan 9s finish as runners-up in district tourney After dropping their first game of the double-elimination tournament to Kokomo UCT, the Logansport 9-year-old all-stars battled their way through the losers' bracket to face Russiaville for the Cal Ripken district tournament title at Metz Field in Fairview Park.
