The Berries improved to 2-0 in NCC play with the win over the visiting Bearcats.
Orlando Casimiro got the Berries (4-3 overall) on the board quickly with a goal just over a minute in. Hector Enriquez had the assist.
Rigo Avila then scored on an assist by Casimiro.
The Berries then had a couple defensive breakdowns, allowing a goal on a penalty kick and an own goal, and the score was tied 2-2 at halftime.
Eh Pa Doh found the back of the next 11 minutes into the second half on an assist by Pedro Hernandez to give the Berries the lead for good. Freshman Edgar Rodriguez then scored the first varsity goal of his career on an assist by Avila.
Hernandez and Ram Bo followed with goals to cap off the scoring.
Logan coach Mike Turner said he wasn’t pleased with the effort in the first half and added his team can’t afford a similar letdown in concentration on Tuesday when Marion comes to town.
Also during the game, starting center back Cooper Kinnaman left the game with a broken collarbone and is out for the season.
“He anchors our defense and keeps guys organized,” Turner said. “The last couple games he had played really well. It’s tough going into Tuesday playing Marion. We have to make a couple adjustments.”
The NCC could come down to Logan and Marion.
“Marion will be a good one,” Turner said. “The guys have to be really focused and play as a unit the full game. If we want to win conference we have to play a complete game. Marion will test us.”

Whitney Jennings had two goals against the visiting Bearcats in the second game of a boys-girls doubleheader, but that was the only offense the Berries (4-4, 1-1 NCC) could muster up. Bailey Graham had an assist.
