Logan girls basketball camp is in session
Logansport is holding a girls basketball camp this week through next week at Lincoln Middle School.
The camp is for girls in incoming grades K through 12. It runs the rest of this week and Monday through Friday next week.
Berries coach Jerry Hoover and members of the 2014 varsity Lady Berries will teach fundamental skills of running, jumping, sliding, pivoting, passing, dribbling and shooting.
Grades K-5 meet from 8-9:15 a.m.; grades 6-8 meet from 9:30-11 a.m.; and grades 9-12 meet from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Cost of the camp is free. There is no formal registration, just show up at the time indicated. There will be a free T-shirt for all who attend 80 percent of the time.
Pioneer offeringathletic physicals
ROYAL CENTER — Pioneer is offering athletic physicals for $15 tonight at the high school in the auxiliary gym.
Grades 5-8 should report from 6-7 p.m. and grades 9-12 should report from 7-8 p.m. Unity Sports Medicine and Lafayette Orthopedic Clinic will conduct the physicals.
Logan hosting youth football camp
Logansport is hosting a youth football camp from July 12-19 with a 9 a.m. start time at Berry Stadium.

Hospital offeringathletic physicals
Logansport Memorial Hospital is offering sports physicals in office and clinic locations, both in Logansport and in Peru.
The fee to receive a physical is $50, and physicals are offered by appointment only.
Students can receive a sports physical at the Peru Medical Center by calling 765-472-2812 to schedule an appointment. The clinic locations offering sports physicals in Logansport are as follows:
