Kennedy takes first in Race for Grace
Kokomo’s Kory Kennedy won the 17th annual Race for Grace on Saturday. He covered the course in a time of 16 minutes, 25 seconds.
Braden Timmons (17:07.04), Scott Colford (17:20.5), Parker Jones (17:34.4) and Jacob Graf (17:49.4) rounded out the top five in the 150-runner field.
Logansport’s Isabella Crain was the overall female winner. She posted a time of 21:00.
Calvary Presbytrian Church sponsored the race.
Open gyms set for middle school girls
There will be an open gym for Logansport Middle School girls basketball players from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on July 21, 23, 28 and 30 at Lincoln Middle School.
Girls will need to have a completed physical form on file for the upcoming school year. The open gyms will focus on fun and fundamentals.

Logan Parks Dept. offers tennis lessons
The Logansport Parks and Recreation Department will offer tennis lessons on Monday through Thursday (rain date of Friday), and from July 21-24 (rain date of July 25) at Logansport High School’s courts.
Lessons will be for kids in grades K through middle school. Players in grades K-5 will take the courts from 8 to 9 a.m., and the beginning and advanced middle school players will follow from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Registration is available through Monday at the Benjamin Long Recreation Center. Cost is $30.

Logan youth soccer schedules signups
Logansport Youth Soccer will have fall league registration at the Logansport Library from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 4 p.m. next Sunday, which is the last day to register.
Registration forms may be picked up at the library, Midwest Eye Consultants and Dunhams.
