Logansport to hold volleyball camp

Logansport High School will be having a Lady Berry Volleyball Camp from Monday to Friday this week at LHS Auxillary Gym.

The camp is open to second through eighth graders. Times will be forsecond and third graders from noon to 1 p.m., fourth and fifth graders 1 to 2 p.m., sixth and seventh graders 2 to 3 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. for eighth graders.

Those participating will be taught the many different skills (passing, serving and hitting) in volleyball, and will be coached by a varsity, junior varsity or freshman player.

The cost is $35 per player, or $60 for two players. Checks should be made out to LHS Athletics. Please wear shorts, T-shirt, knee pads and tennis shoes, and you can also bring a drink.

Soccer camp to be offered by LHS

Logansport will have a Summer Soccer Camp from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday this week at the LHS Soccer Field.

The camp is open up to 4 to 6 year olds and first to ninth graders.

Players will be taught the multidimensional physical and mental training for field and goal keepers.

The cost is $20 for 4 to 6 year olds, and $35 for first through ninth graders.

Players should bring water bottles, shin guards, soccer cleats or appropriate foot wear and ball.

In case of bad weather, bring soft shoes for the auxiliary gym.

3 on 3 hoops tourney in Twelve Mile

TWELVE MILE — A 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be held on July 3 at Twelve Mile Park.

There are high school and adult divisions. Teams consist of 3-5 players and co-ed teams are welcome. Play begins at 5 p.m. July 3. Fireworks to follow at dusk. Cost is $30 made payable Twelve Mile Lions.
