Logansport’s gymnastics team recorded a season-high score in a win over visiting Huntington North Monday night.
The Berries recorded a 104.825 to defeat the Vikings (98.525) and improve to 3-0 on the season.
“We hadn’t had a 100 for awhile,” Logan coach Dannan Mordenti said. “It’s nice to build them up and build the girls’ confidence up a lot.”
Emily Pomasl won the all-around with a 36.1. She was tops on floor (9.4) and vault (9.1), second on bars (9.15) and third on beam (8.45).
Kelley Platt won on bars (9.4) and beam (8.8) and was second on floor (9.3).
“We were glad to get Kelley back on floor for the first time this season,” Mordenti said of Platt, who is nursing an ankle injury to start the season.
Maddy Rosenberger was third on bars (8.3), fourth on vault (8.55) and fifth on beam (7.5) for Logansport. Ashlyn Brown was fourth on beam (7.95), and Hannah Brandt was fifth in the all-around (28.975).
“We did really well,” Mordenti said. “On our top three scores on beam we all had bobbles or falls, and we still finished with a high score on the night.
“I think everyone is getting in the groove of things with having three meets under our belt.”
The Berries return to action next Monday when they host Lafayette Jeff and Northwestern.
