Logan gymnastswin at Plymouth
PLYMOUTH — Logansport’s gymnastics team recorded a 105.05 to defeat Plymouth (103.25) and Peru (34.4) on Thursday.
Emily Pomasl was second in the all-around (36.45) for the Berries and Alexa Abbott was fourth (33.95). Pomasl won on vault (9.5) and beam (9.2) and was third on floor (8.8) and bars (8.8). Abbott was fourth on bars (8.35) and beam, fifth on floor (8.5) and sixth on vault (8.9).
Ashlyn Brown was second on beam (8.7). Hannah Brandt was third on vault (9.2) fifth on bars (8.15), and Maddy Rosenberger was fifth on vault (9.1) and sixth on bars (8.05). Elizabeth Nies was sixth on floor (8.3).
Logan next competes at the Lafayette Jeff Sectional on March 8.
Divers competeat Penn Regional
MISHAWAKA — Three area divers competed at the Penn boys diving regional Tuesday.
Cass sophomore Toby McGehee placed 17th with a 198.3. Logansport had two divers compete, with senior Austin Poe placing 18th (181.35) and senior Jacob Forgey placing 19th (177.1).
The top eight finishers advanced to the state finals.
LYB to hold final registration
Logansport Youth Baseball will be holding its final spring registration on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at the Logansport School Admin Building on George St.
The league is open to anyone that will be between the ages of 4-12 years old on April 30th of this year. Cost for the league is $40 for T-Ball, $50 for rookies, and $60 for minors and majors. If you can not attend registration or have questions, please call Anthony at 574-721-4970.

Sheehey sends IUpast No. 20 Iowa
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Will Sheehey scored 19 of his career-high 30 points in the first half and Stanford Robinson added a career-best 17 to lead Indiana over No. 20 Iowa 93-86 on Thursday night in a game that was postponed last week.
The Hoosiers (16-12, 6-9 Big Ten) went on a 9-0 run in the second half, capped by a 3-pointer from Evan Gordon that gave them a 62-60 lead with 13:13 remaining.
