Caston-Taylor boysgame cancelled

Caston’s senior night boys basketball game against Taylor Tuesday was cancelled.

The Comets have rescheduled senior night for Feb. 27 with a game against Culver added to the schedule.

Regional tickets onsale at Logansport

Tickets for the Class 4A Kokomo girls basketball regional are now on sale at the Logansport athletic office for $10.

The Lady Berries (22-2) face Carroll of Fort Wayne (10-12) at noon Saturday, following Homestead (23-1) vs. Fishers (20-4) game at 10 a.m. The championship game is set for 8 p.m.

Lady Berries to be featured on TV

Logansport’s girls basketball team and Miss Basketball candidate Whitney Jennings will be featured on Fox Sports Midwest this week.

The piece will air on Indiana Prep Zone at 5 p.m. Thursday on Fox Sports Midwest, which is channel 48 on Comcast, channel 671 on Direct TV and channel 418 on Dish Network.

It will also re-air on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. and on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Champion, Le Moyne get win on senior day

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Le Moyne senior guard Nate Champion celebrated senior day with 13 points (10 in the second half), three steals, two assists and two rebounds in his 47th and final regular season home game in the Dolphins’ 67-52 win over The College of Saint Rose Saturday.

Le Moyne (14-10, 11-7 NE-10) is back in action on Saturday at American International College.

DePaul’s win streakends at Marquette

MILWAUKEE – Despite 20 points from Jasmine Penny, the DePaul women’s basketball team dropped an 80-74 Big East Conference game at Marquette on Tuesday.

The loss snaps DePaul’s nine-game winning streak and the Blue Demons fall to 20-6 on the year and are 11-3 in league games. Marquette has won its last three games and improved to 18-7 and is 9-5 in Big East games.

DePaul hosts Butler on Saturday night.
