Remley big winner in Dykeman Ladies opener
Tracey Remley won the A Flight of this week’s Dykeman Park Golf Course Tuesday Ladies League.
CeeCee Wilson, Ellen Chamberlain and Diana Biscella all tied for second place.
Rhonda Richey won the B Flight. Jan Packard placed second and Lois Remley was third.
Joyce Patacsil won the C Flight and Jan Morgan was runner-up.
Logansport gymnastics team hosting camp
The Logansport High School gymnastics team is hosting a summer gymnastics camp for children ages 3-18.
The camp will be held at Logansport High School although it is open to anyone from any school corporation. The camp is from June 2-6. The hours vary depending on the age of the gymnast. No previous gymnastics experience is necessary. A tumbling class is also offered during this time.
Logansport coaches and gymnasts will be the teachers at camp. Each participant will receive a free T-shirt. It is open for both girls and boys.

Twirling Championships coming this weekend
Athletes from throughout Indiana will demonstrate their skills in the sport of baton twirling as they compete in the Indiana Baton Twirling Championships from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday in the Berry Bowl at Logansport High School.
The competition is open to the public and admission is just $3 per person.
Nearly 40 athletes, who range in age from 4-19, will compete for state titles in individual and group events.
The Indiana Baton Twirling Championships are sponsored by the Indiana Baton Twirling Association and sanctioned by the United States Twirling Association. For more information about the sport of baton twirling, visit www.ustwirling.com.
11th Race For Grace coming up next month
The 11th-annual Race For Grace 5K run/walk is scheduled for Saturday, June 28 at 8 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church.
The race is designed to satisfy both competitive runners and those participants more interested in a fun opportunity to exercise. The goal of the event is to raise funds to assist in the activities of the Logansport Great Banquet.
The registration fee prior to June 28 is $12. Registration on the day of the race is $15.
The 2008 Race For Grace is dedicated to the memory of Sam Williamson of Logansport who died on April 26 after a courageous struggle with cancer. An avid runner and fitness expert, Williamson participated many years in the Race For Grace, including the 2007 race. His legacy lives on in this community.
River City Triathlon set
The 13th-annual River City Triathlon is set for Saturday, June 14 at 8 a.m. at France Park in Logansport.
The race includes a 500-yard swim, a 14.4-mile bike and a 3.3-mile run.
This is a sanctioned USA Triathlon event.
There is a 200-participant limit to the event. Online registration is available at www.active.com. Race-day registration will be accepted from 6-7:15 a.m.
Flora Hog Jog ready for 30th running in June
The 30th-annual Flora Hog Jog is scheduled for Saturday, June 14 at the Flora Community Park.
The two-mile run/walk begins at 7:30 a.m. and the 10K run/walk begins at 8:15 a.m. A runt jog is scheduled for approximately 9:30 a.m.
