Jennings to play soccer at Bethel College

Logansport senior Shannon Jennings has signed a national letter-of-intent to play soccer at Bethel College.
Jennings is a three-sport athlete with 12 varsity letters in soccer, basketball and track while serving as a captain of each sport in her senior seasons.
In her soccer career, she was a four-year starter at forward or midfield for coach Todd Reiff and the Berries while being named Offensive MVP two times. She was first-team All-North Central Conference in her junior and senior years while her team won two sectional championships and one North Central Conference Championship. She was also named to the All-Academic North Central Conference team in her senior season.
In basketball, Jennings was a four-year starter at guard with a list of honors that includes Defensive MVP in her junior and senior years, three-time Cass County Tourney Team (one-time MVP of tourney), three-time Pharos Tribune All-Loganland Team and was also named to the All-Academic North Central Conference Team.
In track, Jennings was a member of the Logansport High School record holding 4x800 relay team in her junior year.
“We are thrilled to have Shannon commit to Bethel College and look forward to having her as a Pilot this fall,” Bethel coach Pete Morey said. “She is an amazing athlete and I would look for her to contribute to our team immediately. Her speed will be a great asset as well as her composure and ability to read the game.”
Also at Logansport, Jennings has participated in Berryettes, Spanish Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Business Professionals of America, and has been a Berry Ambassador and Student Rotarian.
Jennings, along with her family, attend New Life Alliance Church in Logansport where she has helped teach children’s church for several years.
