He served from 1935 to 1968, and was upset in 1948 when the No. 2 slot promised him on the Republican ticket went to California Gov. Earl Warren instead. He lost his minority leader post to former President Gerald Ford in 1965.
In Wolcott, The Cot Trot will be part of the local festival.
Neva Sink was the oldest person at the Hyman family reunion in Deer Creek. Ulyssa Fry was the youngest.
