Logansport Savings Bank’s scarecrow took home top honors Wednesday at the end of the 2013 Scarecrow Row Competition, according to a release from Logan’s Landing.
“We were impressed by the creativity and hard work shown by all 22 competitors, but only one scarecrow could be chosen as the winner,” Promotion Committee Chair Greg Packard commented. “That winner is the scarecrow scene created by Logansport Savings Bank.”
For creating the winning scarecrow, Logansport Savings Bank received a free advertising package valued at over $600, donated by the Cass County Communication Network, Mid-America Radio and the Pharos-Tribune.
The scarecrows along Broadway and Market Street were enjoyed by passersby as well as hundreds of trick-or-treaters who participated in Downtown Spooktacular and the Elks Halloween parade.
“We believe that the scarecrows added a seasonal touch of fun to the downtown district,” Logan’s Landing Executive Director Becki Harris said. “They were enjoyed by visitors and residents alike.”
