---- — United Way of Cass County has reached 73 percent of its goal for this year's campaign.

Campaign division chairs met and discussed division reports and shared successes and challenges at a United Way campaign cabinet briefing Friday at the Logansport Memorial Hospital.

There are several divisions in the United Way campaign, including small business, business mail, education, city and county government, professional, healthcare, town and country and more. Each division makes up varying percentages of the overall United Way of Cass County goal.

Throughout the United Way campaign, dates have been set for cabinet members to report division results, said Becky Anspach, director of donor relations and resource development. Preliminary totals will be submitted Oct. 31 and the final totals will be in Nov. 14.

Joyce Mayhill, executive director of United Way of Cass County, said although it's too early to figure out where the final numbers will end up, it is time to start following up with people.

Division chairs will continue to reach out to people in the coming weeks.

Ameen said he was pleased with the progress.

"We're making good progress and people are reaching deep," Ameen said.

Ameen said they are trying to get the last companies and will most likely have companies still campaigning until early November.
