“You use your whole body when moving up and down the court,” Lods said. “It’s not hard aerobics, but it is a good workout. It’s a fun activity.”
For those interested in playing, the net and equipment is at the YMCA and can be set up quickly. Since there isn’t a league in place for the time being, Lods suggest people bring a partner. Pickleball can be played with doubles or singles. There are open courts at the YMCA from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily if people want to play, Lods said. Those with questions can call the YMCA at 574-753-5141.
