---- — Monday’s bench trial scheduled for the interim superintendent of the Logansport State Hospital has been rescheduled.

Richard Daryl Hall, of Galveston, will now face trial on operating while intoxicated charges at 1 p.m. Nov. 5.

Hall was arrested March 3 on charges of OWI-endangering a person and OWI with a blood alcohol level of .08 or more.

Represented by Logansport attorney Andrew Achey, Hall pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Achey said it has been continued because the case isn’t ready for a plea or trial. Achey said several steps are being taken in the case and he and the prosecuting attorney, Joseph Thieke, are close to reaching agreements.

“We have been working diligently to resolve the case,” Achey said. “We have met several times.”

Achey said he and Thieke are continuing to work toward a resolution that is fair to both sides.
