---- — Construction of the new five-screen theater in Logansport is nearing a wrap, the manager says.

The concrete for most of the auditoriums’ stadium seating has been poured, to be followed by the installation of high-back rocker chairs early next month, said Richard Dieffenbach, manager of Mary Max Cinemas Logansport 5. Three of the auditoriums will have 29-foot-wide screens with seating for about 75 and two will have 40-foot-wide screens with seating for about 200.

The glass curtain entryway is nearly finished, with just the canopy and decorative neon elements left to go.

Much of the drywalled interior — including the five-station sales area for tickets and concessions, arcade and party area — await paint, wallpaper draping, carpet and trim.

Dieffenbach said the parking lot is expected to be finished by next week as well.
