Performing Arts Council season brings in big acts

Elton John and Billy Joel tributes lead arts council's 2013 line-up.


Schwering said community members can support the council by buying tickets. Season tickets are $100. Single tickets for Face 2 Face, Cirque Zuma Zuma and Shenandoah are $30 and the Indiana University Singing Hoosiers Christmas Show is $20. Student tickets will be available at Cirque Zuma Zuma for $15 and $10 for the IU Singing Hoosiers Christmas Show.

The 2013 line-up The Performing Arts Council of Logansport presents its 2013 season, with all events being held at McHale Performing Arts Center. Face 2 Face • When: 7 p.m. Saturday • Cost: $30 • Information: Elton John and Billy Joel artists Joey Riedel and Michael John come together to create what they call the "Ultimate Tribune Show" with hit songs and costumes. Cirque Zuma Zuma • When: 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct.12 • Cost: $30 and student tickets are available for $15 • Information: Zuma Zuma Acrobats, from America's Got Talent, and other talented artists, including South African vocalists, Gumboot dancers and Contortionists, acrobats, Egyptian limbo dancers and various other acts will take stage. Shenandoah • When: 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 • Cost: $30 • Information: The group ruled the country music charts in the late 1980s and earlies '90s, raking in 13 No. 1 songs. The band climbed the charts with the hits "Mama Knows," "She Doesn't Cry Anymore," "Two Dozen Roses," and "Next to You, Next to Me." Indiana University Singing Hoosiers Christmas Show • When: 3 p.m. Dec. 8 • Cost: $20 and student tickets are available for $10 • Information: The IU Singing Hoosiers will perform jazz, Broadway and contemporary hits with choreography. Among their singers are Olivia Sears and Laura Cahalan, Logansport High School graduates, and Emily Paulson, Winamac Community High School graduate.
