SUV found in wooded area east of Camden.

CAMDEN — A Friday morning Carroll County crash has claimed the life of a Monticello man.

At about 8 a.m., Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies and Indiana State Police responded and investigated a crash on Ind. 218 about five miles east of Camden.

Blake Underhill, 22, was eastbound on Ind. 218 driving a white 2002 Ford Escape sport utility vehicle. For reasons unknown, Underhill left the roadway on the south side of the highway and went down an embankment, ending in a wooded area.

Underhill was found to be seat belted in his vehicle but was dead on scene. Further investigation is continuing by the sheriff’s office and Carroll County Coroner J.D. Cree.
