A traffic stop in Logansport led to the discovery of four improvised explosive devices, or IEDs, according to the Logansport Police Department.
Just before 3:30 p.m. Friday, a vehicle driven by Aaron Woods, 41, Logansport, was stopped near the intersection of 21st and Otto streets on multiple infraction violations, according to information released by Assistant Chief Bryan Hillis.
During the traffic stop, a Logansport police K-9 alerted to the presence of the odor of narcotics inside of the vehicle and a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, the release states.
Officers located probable marijuana inside of the vehicle, as well as four IEDs, according to the police report. The Indiana State Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team was contacted to render the devices safe.
Woods was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; unauthorized possession, manufacture, transportation of a destructive device, a Class C felony; and possession, manufacture, transportation by a convicted felon, a Class C felony.
As of Saturday afternoon, Woods was being held at the Cass County Jail.
