---- — Two men are now in jail after an apparent road-racing incident in Fulton County, according to the sheriff department there.

At 11:07 p.m. Monday, the sheriff department was dispatched to a 911 complaint of a vehicle driving in excess of 100 mph southbound on U.S. 31 near Ind. 10.

Responding sheriff deputies and Rochester City Police officers found two vehicles traveling side by side in a racing fashion at 102 mph. As officers activated their emergency lights, one of the vehicles lost control. It left the roadway toward the median at a very high rate of speed and rolled several times before coming to a rest near the northbound lane of U.S. 31.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Tyler Henderson, 22, Fulton. He was not seriously injured in the crash and was cleared by medics. He was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and reckless driving, both misdemeanors.

Christopher Eash, 25, Nappanee, the driver of the second vehicle, was arrested on charges of reckless driving and possession of paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
