Downtown building in flames

Roof collapsed on brick building behind Kevin J. Crook Insurance Agency.


LOGANSPORT — A downtown building caught fire Thanksgiving Day.

Logansport firefighters responded shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday to police reporting that a two-story brick building behind the Kevin J. Crook Insurance Agency, near the intersection of Broadway and Sixth Street, was engulfed in flames.

Logansport police officer Eric Binney notified the Logansport Fire Department of the flames.

The roof of the building collapsed about 4:40 p.m. Thursday as firefighters attempted to control the blaze. At about 4:45 p.m., four Logansport fire trucks were on the scene.
